30 Days with Tula Skincare Review: Products I Love!

Tula Skincare

In a previous post, I shared how I spent 30 days solely using TULA Skincare products. I’m still finishing off many of the products, so I’ve actually spent more than 30 days with TULA. However, I want to share my thoughts now that the official 30 days are up.

Overall, I can definitely see (and feel!) improvements in my skin. I used to suffer from textured skin and had some areas that were more dehydrated than others.

For example, my under eye area tends to be on the drier side and I get an occasional patch on my cheek where my skin feels extremely dry. Spending 30 days with my TULA skincare products has helped improve these issues. My skin doesn’t feel dehydrated, it looks and feels plumper, and my skin is so smooth. Since I didn’t use a physical exfoliant to get rid of dry or dead skin, the smoothness took me by surprise.

While using these products I was able to find a few staples that I plan to keep in skincare arsenal. As a reminder, these products were gifted to me by TULA but all opinions are honest and my own. Now, let’s dive in!

My top 3 tula skincare picks

image of a black woman showing her results after using TULA Skincare products for 30 daysMy favorite product sent to me from TULA Skincare is the Super Calm Gentle Milk Cleanser ($34 at Ulta and TULA). I used the cleanser twice a day and loved that it didn’t dry my skin out at all.

In fact, it actually made my skin feel hydrated. This cleanser is very gentle and doesn’t have much of a lather. If you suffer from sensitive or dry skin, I think you’d really enjoy this cleanser. I would definitely purchase this!

The 24-7 Moisture Hydrating Cream (regular-size is $58 at Ulta and TULA, a mini-size is $24 at Ulta) is a close second. This moisturizer is very light and almost reminds me of a cream-gel hybrid.

Due to the texture and consistency, I find that this is the perfect moisturizer for the summer. My skin is less dehydrated during the summertime (thanks sweat!),  so I usually opt for lightweight products. Even though I spent 30 days with this TULA moisturizer, I still have about 1/4 of the container left. I’m not mad at that at all because I have a little extra time to enjoy it. I’d also purchase this product!

My third favorite product is the Get Toned Resurfacing Toner, now called Secret Solution Toner ($46 at Ulta and TULA, a mini size is also available for $16 at Ulta). I’m pretty sure this is the product that primarily aided in making my skin feel smooth. Since it contains glycolic acid, it worked to gently exfoliate my skin revealing healthier, brighter, and smoother skin.

The thing I loved most about this toner is that it has a gel-like consistency. I’ve never used a toner like this one, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I buy this myself!

My thoughts on other tula products

Image of black woman holding the TULA Protect + Glow Sunscreen Gel with SPF 30 after applying it to her skinWhile I enjoyed using the Rose Glow + Get It Eye Balm ($38 at Ulta and TULA), I would like to try their other eye balms. This product provided a nice cooling effect as it’s applied, however, the light pearlescent-like color made my skin look ashy if I applied too much.

My husband pointed it out to me one day after applying it. I did find that when I tapped the product into my skin the color wasn’t as bad, but I would like to try their Glow Hour Eye Balm since it has a more golden color to it.

I enjoyed the application of the Protect + Glow Sunscreen Gel with SPF 30 ($38 at Ulta and TULA) and the sun-kissed glow it provided. However, I found that when I started to sweat, it made the perimeter of my face (near my hairline) look white. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this for darker skin tones. Which is a bummer because I loved the glow it gave me.

Finally, the Face Filter Primer ($38 at Ulta and TULA). This was my least favorite product. Although it’s supposed to work well with makeup, I didn’t like the way it performed under my makeup. It made some areas of my face look patchy and caused it to pill.

I tried to use it one day without makeup. I layered it with the sunscreen since I was going to be outside. Unfortunately, I found that those two products don’t really pair well together either. I’d pass on this one.

Final Thoughts

Now that my 30 days with TULA Skincare are up, I can say that overall, there are products that work well. I love the ingredients the products are formulated with and that the brand was created by someone who has been studying the key ingredients, probiotics, for many years.

The products didn’t do too much with clearing up my dark spots and hyperpigmentation, but I love how soft my skin feels. I can 100% see myself purchasing TULA products in the future.

You can see how I used these products on YouTube and on Instagram. Also, check out my initial post to see what my skin looked like at the beginning of the 30 days.

If you’re interested in trying them out for yourself, you can find over 60 products at Ulta or the TULA Website
