A major goal of mine in 2024 is to start prioritizing myself and overall wellbeing. This includes finally developing a skincare routine and sticking to it. However, I plan to do so on a budget. I’ve been on the hunt to find the best affordable skin care brands. Thankfully, I was able to find quite a few. Here are 4 I want to share with you!

1. The inkey list

The Inkey List is a brand I’ve been using for some time now. This affordable skin care brand is at the top of my list because their products are simple, yet effective. I’ve previously talked about them in a post about pregnancy and breastfeeding safe products. One thing I love is that their website is so easy to navigate. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you can easily filter the products to see which ones are safe.

PRICE: Single products range from around $5-24.

Products I own include the  Salicylic Acid Cleanser, Fulvic Acid Cleanser and Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I plan on trying their Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser and Omega Water Cream soon though.

Where to find The Inkey List

You can purchase TIL directly from their website or at Sephora. If you buy directly from them you get free shipping on orders $35+. In addition, they offer 15% off select items when you sign up for their FREE rewards program.

2. Naturium

So far I’ve only tried two products from Naturium, the Niacinamide Cleansing Gelée and Marshmallow Root Barrier Balm. However, they have me wanting to try more!

The cleanser is gentle and it leaves my skin feeling soft. I just happened to pick it up while traveling and I’m happy I did. The Marshmallow Root Barrier Balm is the perfect last step in your skincare routine. It acts as an occlusive to lock in all of the products that you apply before it.

While Naturium doesn’t list which products are pregnancy and breastfeeding safe, they do have an ingredient library where they breakdown every ingredient that they use and why. After doing some research, they actually offer a ton. The ones I’d like to eventually try are the Mixed Greens Nutrient-Rich Cleanser, Multipeptide Eye Cream, and Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream.

PRICE: Full-sized Naturium products start at about $16. While a little pricier, it’s still very affordable.

Where to find Naturium

Naturium products can be purchased on their website and at Target!

3. Versed Skin

I’ve tried a few things Versed Skin including the Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream,  Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm, and the Photos Please Brightening Tightening Mask. I even did a mini review over on my Instagram page!

Their goal is to provide high performing products that serve a specific purpose. I love that they also tell you on the product page if it is pregnancy-safe and they even have a whole article dedicated to pregnancy-safe (and unsafe) ingredients. Affordable skin care AND nursing safe? Count me in!

At some point I plan on trying the Wash It Out Gel Cleanser, Baby Cheeks Hydrating Milky Toner, and Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream.

PRICE: Single products start around $10 but Versed also sells curated bundles. You can find them at Versedskin.com and at Target.

Where to find Versed

You can purchase items on their website , Walmart, and at Target! I love a good Target run.

4. Three ships beauty

Three Ships is a brand that I recently learned about but haven’t had a chance to try. What caught my eye is that they’re on a mission to bring high-quality, personalized skin care to consumers at an affordable price. The best part is that according to their website, pretty much all of their products are pregnancy and nursing safe, their Refresh cleanser being the exception. With that said, I would eventually like to try everything that I can from them (lol).

I really have my eye on the Glow Serum, Hydrate Serum, Lip Treatment Kit, and the Detox Green Tea Antioxidant Mask.

PRICE: Pricing of products starts at $13 and can go as high as $99 for certain bundles.

Where to find Three Ships

Three Ships products can be purchased directly on their website

Good affordable skin care brands can be hard to find. Especially if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. Nonetheless, skin care is such an important part of my self-care journey. I plan to start taking the health of my skin more serious in the new year. I’ll be sure to give an update on how I enjoy the products mentioned!
