Sephora Holiday Sale 2020: How to Save on Makeup and Skincare Products!

Sephora Holiday Sale 2020

I recently posted about the 2020 Sephora Holiday Sale and my favorite Sephora finds in my Instagram stories. I figured that writing about them in a blog post would make it easy to reference and to shop my faves. To save on the products mentioned, or any other Sephora purchase, I’ve included the discount code to use at the end of this post.

Now, Let’s go through my faves by category!

Haircare

The only haircare brand that I’ve tried that can be found at Sephora is Briogeo. Briogeo is a Black-owned brand and honestly, all of the products I’ve tried from there are amazing. The two lines that are my favorite though, are the Curl Charisma Line and their original line. If there are only two products that I would say are must-tries to purchase during the Sephora Holiday Sale 2020, they would be the Don’t Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Hair Mask, and the Curl Charisma Coil Custard. I have a YouTube video showing my experience with both so feel free to check them out!

A haircare brand that’s sold at Sephora that I really want to try and will likely buy during the Holiday 2020 sale is Adwoa Beauty. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about their products!

Skincare

  1. If you suffer from acne or dark marks, I highly recommend trying the Peter Thomas Roth 10% PHA Exfoliating Clarifying Liquid and Niacinamide Discoloration Treatment. I talked about the clarifying liquid in a previous post and have used it every day since!

2. Using a good moisturizer is key! If you suffer from dry skin or feel like you need a little extra hydration, check out the Belif The True Cream – Aqua Bomb. My skin loves it and this cream keeps my skin hydrated all day long. Bonus, try the Aqua Bomb Deep Hydration Set to try out the cleanser, toner, and eye cream as well.

3. Once or twice a week I like to use a sleeping mask. My two go-to masks are the Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask and Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask. Both of these masks are thick in consistency and work well to seal in the moisture and goodness from my skincare routine. The Laniege mask is hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin!

4. There’s nothing like a good essence and facial spray. I have 3 favorites in this category. First, the Fresh Beauty Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence. I like using this on special occasions or when I need something a little extra after toning my skin. It helps protect your skin against pollution and aging. Next, the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I’ve talked about this product quite a bit over on Instagram and it’s the perfect product to use when you need a pick me up. The peppermint oil works wonders to wake up the skin. Last, the Wander Beauty Glow Getter Mist. I love that this mist has evening primrose oil to hydrate and nourish the skin. It can also be used after applying your makeup!

5. Sunscreen!! If you haven’t started using sunscreen yet, you should! This is the most important part of any skincare routine. My favorite (and the only) brand I use for facial sunscreen is Supergoop. I’ve used their Superscreen with SPF 40, Play with SPF 50, and Unseen Sunscreen with SPF 40 and love all 3 for different reasons.

The Superscreen is perfect during the colder months because it is more on the cream side. I usually skip my moisturizer step when I use it because it is thick thick. Play is perfect for those hot days or when you’re working out because it’s a lotion and is as thick on the skin. Unseen Sunscreen is perfect for the days when you wear makeup because it has more of a primer-like texture. The best part, there’s no flashback when used underneath foundation! These sunscreens are perfect for all skin tones as they have no white cast.

Makeup

While Sephora has so many makeup brands to choose from, believe it or not, most of my purchases from Sephora are skincare related. Okay, maybe you can believe it given how long my skincare list is lol but here are two of my favorite makeup purchases.

The first is from Fenty Beauty. I absolutely love the Sun Stalk’r Bronzer. I don’t usually contour so this bronzer is the perfect alternative. It gives me the contoured look without having to put too much effort into it.

The second is from Pat Mcgrath. I’ve had my eye on the eyeshadow palettes from Pat Mcgrath for so long but they’re a little out of my price range. I was happy when she dropped her latest palette at a fraction of the price. I HAD to get it and I’m so happy I did. The MEGA MTHRSHP: Celestial Divinity Eyeshadow Palette is perfect for shimmer lovers and the Sephora Holiday Sale 2020 is the perfect time to pick it up!

I truly hope this list of my favorites was helpful. If you make any purchases during the 2020 Sephora Holiday Sale, especially a purchase of products that I’ve mentioned, be sure to let me know either here or on Instagram!

Don’t forget to use the code “HOLIDAYFUN” to receive your discount!

The start date of the sale varies for each tier (Rouge – 10/30, VIB – 11/3, Insider – 11/5) and runs through 11/9. Happy shopping!
