If you have short lashes, you may struggle with trying to find something that truly helps to lengthen them. Some people reach for falsies, but I have yet to find a pair that really fits my personality and style. So, mascara is my go-to! It is one of those things that I must have in my makeup collection. I’ve tried many mascaras, both drugstore and luxury, and here are my top 5 mascaras for short lashes.

LUXURY MASCARAS FOR SHORT LASHES
Lancôme Monsieur Big Volumizing Mascara
This mascara is available at Sephora and Ulta and is my go-to when I want big lashes that appear longer and thicker. Every time I use it people always ask me if I’m wearing lashes. Which for me, is a plus because it lets me know that my mascara is poppin’! At the time of this post, the full-size Lancôme Monsieur Big Volumizing Mascara retails for $30 and the travel size is $16.
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
You can find this mascara at both Sephora and Ulta. Whenever I wear this mascara, it gives the perfect balance between lengthening and volume. It’s great on its own but can also be used when you wear falsies. I like to use to blend false lashes with my real lashes a bit better. The full-size retails for $28 while the travel size is available for $16.
Laura Mercier Caviar Volume Panoramic Mascara
I started using this mascara more recently and it was a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t expecting it to go on as smooth as it did. It felt like I wasn’t even putting anything on my eyelashes. I love that it isn’t super intense and is perfect for those days when you want something a little more subtle. The nice thing is that it’s also buildable and doesn’t clump up. You can easily get the look you want without feeling like your eyelashes are being weighed down. This one retails for $28 and is available at Sephora.
DRUGSTORE MASCARAS
Maybelline Colossal Big Shot
The great thing about this mascara is that while you can find it Ulta, you can also find it at Target for less than $10. I love this mascara because it comes in various shades of black and brown so you can choose which suits you best, I opted for the darkest shade and it adds serious length to my short lashes. Only thing is that it does clump my lashes quite a bit. However, if you prefer a clumped look, this one is for you!
Maybelline Great Lash BIG Mascara
This mascara is a classic. It’s the first mascara I tried when I started wearing it. It also has sentimental value because my late aunt is the one who recommended it. Not only does it look amazing on short lashes but it’s also extremely affordable. You can find it at Target for less than $7!
So there you have it, my top 5 mascaras for short lashes! I honestly think that if I could only live with two makeup items it would be mascara and lip gloss/balm. I’ll be sharing my favorite lip products soon so be on the lookout.
