Full Review of the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection

Lately, I’ve been wearing makeup more than usual. I’ve found that it’s important that I develop a skincare routine specifically for the days that I wear it. I was recently sent the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection and I decided to put it to the test. I wanted to see how well it could cleanse and hydrate my skin after wearing makeup for many hours out of the day.

I’ve already reviewed the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection in great detail over on my Youtube channel but there are a few things that I was unable to fit into the video. First of all, the packaging for this collection is so cute! It contained 6 different products that came in boxes that look like milk cartons. Seriously, how adorable is that?

The 6 products I received were the Hydrating Milky makeup remover, cleanser, peel, tonic, serum, and lotion.

First, let’s talk about the ingredients.

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky makeup remover: The makeup remover is biphasic and contains coconut, probiotics and oat. These help to gently remove makeup while nourishing, protecting, and hydrating the skin.

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky cleanser: The cleanser is formulated with coconut, probiotics, and jojoba to help condition, balance, and rehydrate the skin. Fun fact, jojoba is one of my favorite carrier oils so seeing this really made me happy!

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky peel: This product contains a number of ingredients with the first being water. It also contains cellulose (it is found in the cell wall of plants), arginine (an amino acid or protein building block), allantoin (to soothe), and coconut. For a full ingredient list, visit the Pixi Website.

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky tonic: The tonic is made with jojoba milk and oat to rehydrate and soothe. It is also made with green tea which provides antioxidants to help protect your skin.

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky serum: This serum contains aloe vera, vitamins C & E, and jojoba oil to calm the skin while providing healing properties and a light oil to help seal in moisture.

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky lotion: The main ingredients in the lotion are coconut, shea butter, and cocoa seed extract. This combination is supposed to nourish, moisturize, and protect the skin.

Now, time for my thoughts.

Upon initial use of the makeup remover, I loved that it doesn’t have a heavy scent to it. It took me about three cotton pads to remove the majority of my makeup but it did leave my skin feeling really soft and not overworked. The cleanser was gentle as well. Unlike other cleansers, where you are recommended to dampen your skin first, you apply this one to your skin before wetting it. Once you have gently massaged your skin with the cleanser you can then wipe it off with a warm, damp towel or rinse with water. I chose the latter and noticed that it doesn’t get extremely sudsy. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

The peel was a little weird to me. After applying a layer onto my skin and allowing it to sit for the recommended amount of time, I noticed that as I massaged it into my skin it started to ball up. I am unsure if that was due to the product reacting to the dead skin on my face or because I used too much. Either way, my skin still felt soft and there was no irritation. The toner was so soothing. My skin felt so cool, calm, and collected after using it. Like the other products in this line, it too is lightly scented.

My favorites…

My favorite product out of the entire Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection is the serum. Just using 4 small drops was enough to cover my whole face. It left my skin feeling extremely hydrated and supple without feeling oily. The lotion came in a close second. I love the fact that it can be used for face and body. I also enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t too thick. My skin absorbed the lotion very well and I was left with a nice glow.

Final Thoughts.

Overall, I give this collection a 10 out of 10. I’ve tried many Pixi Beauty skincare products but this collection is by far my favorite. If you want to try them out for yourself, feel free to click the names of each product listed above.
