What is TULA Skincare?

TULA Skincare was created by Dr. Roshini Raj. She is a practicing doctor and probiotics expert. Probiotics are microorganisms, or “good for you” bacteria, that help balance your skin’s microbiome (the community of microorganisms on your skin). All of TULA’s products are clean and effective and formulated with probiotics and superfoods. Their unique formulations help boost the skin’s appearance and restore its natural balance. Dr. Raj has studied probiotics for 15+ years, so it’s safe to say that she knows what she’s doing!

Tula was kind enough to send me a number of their skincare items to try out and share with you all so that’s exactly what I’ll be doing. I’ve already given a brief intro about what I received over on in my Instagram stories but I want to give a thorough breakdown of each product for you all here.

The items that I received include the; Super Calm Gentle Milk Cleanser, Get Toned Pro-Glycolic 10% Resurfacing Toner, 24-7 Moisture Hydrating Day + Night Cream, Rose Glow + Get It Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm, Protect + Glow Daily Sunscreen Gel, and the Face Filter Blurring + Moisturizing Primer.

Now, let’s break down the key ingredients!

Super Calm Gentle Milk Cleanser ($34 at Ulta and TULA) – This is a lightweight cleanser is perfect for those with sensitive skin. It leaves the skin feeling nourished and hydrated. The key ingredients include:

  • Aloe helps to soothe and reduce the appearance of skin irritation and inflammation.
  • Colloidal oatmeal also helps to soothe the skin and retain the skin’s moisture.
  • Cucumber helps to brighten the skin (it has vitamin C!) and caffeic acid to reduce the appearance of irritation.
  • Ginger evens skin tone, improves skin’s elasticity, and antioxidants in ginger help to prevent damage from free radicals (free radicals can contribute to skin aging).

Get Toned Resurfacing Toner ($42 at Ulta and TULA) – This is an alcohol-free glycolic acid toner. It gently exfoliates leading to smooth and hydrated skin. It can also help even out skin tone. The key ingredients include:

  • Pro-glycolic complex which is blend of 100% natural lactobacillus probiotics (this takes me back to science class!) and 10% glycolic acid. This complex helps to tone and exfoliate the skin. It’s also gets rid of debris and excess oil.
  • Blueberry extract helps fight free radical damage.
  • Turmeric extract reduces signs of inflammation.
  • Mushroom and beet extract hydrates the skin and is 400% MORE hydrating than the coveted hyaluronic acid.

24-7 Moisture Hydrating Cream (mini-size is $24 at Ulta, regular-size is $52 at Ulta and TULA) – This cream provides deep hydration and helps firm skin. It also helps improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles. I don’t know about you, but I love face creams that work day and night! This one contains:

  • Watermelon fruit extract and squalene to deeply hydrate. Did you know that your skin actually naturally produces squalene?
  • Rice nutripeptides to nourish and firm the skin.

Rose Glow + Get It Eye Balm ($30 at Ulta and TULA) – This eye balm cools and hydrates all while brightening your under eye area. It contains a slight shimmer that really helps you to get your glow on. It is made with:

  • Rosehip oil is a plant-based alternative to retinol. It’s rich in vitamin C and protects against free radicals.
  • caffeine helps to reduce the look of dark undereye circles.
  • Rosewater works to hydrate, soften, and tone your skin and also contains antioxidants.
  • Aloe, apple, and watermelon provide deep hydration while blueberry hydrates and protects the skin.

Protect + Glow Sunscreen Gel with SPF 30 ($36 at Ulta and TULA) – A broad-spectrum sunscreen that provides UVA and UVB protect as well as protection from blue light. You can use it outdoors AND indoors. After all, we do spend a ton of time on our devices. The key ingredients include:

  • Pineapple and papaya to promote even skin tone.
  • Wild butterfly ginger root to protect against blue light.
  • Avobenzone, homosalate, and octisalate are the active ingredients to provide protection against the sun.

Face Filter Primer ($34 at Ulta and TULA) – This primer smooths the look of skin while releasing skin-blurring properties to give your skin a radiant, sunkissed look. The primer contains:

  • Licorice to even the look of your skin.
  • Chia seeds help nourish and calm the skin.

What’s it formulated without?

Now that I’ve told you what is IN the products, let me tell you what they don’t have. All of TULA’s products are made without parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, triclosan, retinol, phthalates, formaldehyde, and formaldehyde releasing preservatives.

I’m so excited to start this 30 days with TULA. I’ve heard so many great things about their products and I hope to have amazing results like many other TULA users. I’ve already uploaded a video over on YouTube giving my first impressions of some of the products so be sure to check it out when you get the chance.

I’ll be giving an update on my progress once the 30 days are up. Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter because I will be notifying you all when it goes live.
