30 Days With Rosen Skincare: Quick Product Introduction

Rosen Skincare Before

I’m back with another round of my “30 days with” series. This time around I’ll be spending 30 days with Rosen Skincare products. I’ve been using the products for about 2 weeks now, but I wanted to take the time to introduce you to the brand.

Rosen Skincare is a Black-owned skincare brand founded by Jamika Martin and can now be found at Ulta and Target. She started Rosen Skincare because she, too, struggled with acne and would try everything she could to clear it. After realizing that she needed to find a better way to care for her skin, she wanted to find products that weren’t filled with suspect ingredients. She created Rosen Skincare, a clean skincare brand, to help those who want a more natural way to clear their skin.

ROSEN SKINCARE OFFERS CURATED ROUTINES

At the time of writing this post, Rosen Skincare provided you with complete routines. Taking the guesswork out of trying to put together a regimen. However, they now offer product bundles that target specific skincare concerns. Since I was gifted with the Fade Routine while it was available, this introduction will be on the individual products included in it.

Rosen Skincare Start

I don’t have active acne all the time, but I do suffer from hormonal breakouts. I also have quite a bit of dark marks and hyperpigmentation. With that in mind, I was sent the Fade Routine Max.

Products in the Fade Routine Max:

  • 2.0 oz Super Smoothie Cleanser
  • 2.0 oz Tropics Toner
  • 1.0 oz Tropics Moisturizer
  • 1.5 oz Charcoal Mask
  • 0.5 oz Bright Citrus Serum
  • 1.0 oz Enzyme Scrub
  • 0.33 oz Break-Out

Rosen Skincare Product Ingredient breakdown

Super Smoothie Cleanser – contains active strawberry, lemon, and raspberry fruit powders.

Strawberry fruit powder contains high levels of Vitamin C to help brighten the skin and get rid of dullness. Lemon fruit powder helps to fade scars, dark marks, and brighten skin. Raspberry fruit powder helps regulate sebum production (the oil that skin naturally produces), and smooth skin. This cleanser helps to balance oil levels, fade dark spots, provides a glow.

Tropics Toner – formulated with pineapple extract which contains Vitamin C to brighten and alleviate dullness of the skin. This toner also contains kojic acid and hyaluronic acid to help fade scars while hydrating the skin. The Tropics Moisturizer is also formulated with these ingredients.

Charcoal Mask – made with bentonite clay to detoxify and diminish breakouts and activated charcoal to absorb excess oils.

Bright Citrus Serum – formulated with 20% Vitamin C to help with scarring, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and discoloration.

Enzyme Scrub – a gentle exfoliant made with walnut shell powder to help smooth skin, pumpkin enzymes and lemon powder to break down scarring and dull skin, and frankincense which is a natural astringent for acne-prone skin.

Break-Out – a spot treatment made with anti-microbial peppermint oil, zinc oxide which acts as an astringent and helps bumps fade after just a few uses.

Current skin concerns

My main skin concern at the moment is to fade my dark marks. I suffer from post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Even if I don’t pick or pop my breakouts, they still leave a mark. I even have quite a few old ones. It’s my hope that I will see these marks fade over the course of the next few weeks.

Be sure to check out my final thoughts after my 30 days with Rosen Skincare. I shared my results in that post as well!
