It’s that time of year for the Sephora spring sale. If you’re unfamiliar with it, this sale happens about twice a year. The savings depend on your Sephora Insider status. While I am unsure if I’ll actually purchase anything, I do have a few items on my wish list. I’m trying my best to stop buying things just for the sake of buying them. I want to be more intentional with my shopping so, should I have a need for these items, I’ll definitely grab them.
Important Dates for the Sephora Spring Sale
Rouge: 4/9-4/19 (20% off)
VIB: 4/13-4/19 (15% off)
Insider: 4/15-4/19 (10% off)
As you can see, Sephora Insider members who have made their way to Rouge status get first access to the sale. They also get the best deal. To get to Rouge status you have to spend $1000 in a year. Yes, you read that right, ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS in a year. To me, that’s a lot. However, if you buy a lot of high end products, then it’s probably pretty easy to reach this threshold.
*To get the savings you have to use code OMGSPRING at checkout, this code is the same for everyone*
Now that that’s out of the way, here’s what’s on my list…
Note: Product links are affiliate links. That means I will make a percentage from each purchase made when the link is used. It does not alter the price in any way.
Haircare:
Since I already have an excessive haircare collection, I don’t have too many items in this category.
Adwoa Beauty Baomint Deep Conditioning Treatment
I actually already own this deep conditioner. The reason it’s still on my wishlist is because I love it! I’d happily purchase it again because it works so well for my medium density, 3C/4A hair. My hair tends to be on the drier side and this deep conditioning treatment works well to soften and moisturize my hair. It also has great slip!
Briogeo Scalp Revival Mask for Dry, Itchy Scalp
There are quite a few products that I’ve tried from Briogeo such as their Don’t Despair, Repair shampoo and deep conditioning treatment. I’ve also tried just about every product from their Curl Charisma line. The Scalp Revival line is one I’ve had my eyes on because 1: I love Briogeo products and 2: I’ve heard nothing but great things about this line. It’s said that the Scalp Revival shampoo and mask are a great pair if you suffer from dry, itchy scalp which is something that I deal with every now and again. Since they offer a travel size kit for these products, I may pick it up so I can try them before fully committing.
Bread Beauty Supply Hair Oil Everyday Gloss
The last haircare product that’s on my Sephora sale wishlist is the hair oil from Bread. I haven’t seen too much chatter about bread but I discovered this brand when I made my Black-owned at Sephora list. I love a good hair oil and after looking at the ingredient list of this one, I think it would be the perfect fit for me. It’s made with only 8 ingredients, 6 of which are different types of oils such as sweet almond oil and argan oil. After reading the reviews, I think it would be great for my hair texture.
Skincare:
Dermalogica Daily Micro Exfoliator
I currently own the mini version of this exfoliator which I picked it up a couple of months ago for about $15. I really enjoy how it makes my skin feel and how gentle it is, too. Honestly, it doesn’t feel like an exfoliator. It’s a physical exfoliator but its so fine that once you make it into a paste, it’s not abrasive on the skin.
If you’re following me on Instagram, then you probably already know that my love for Supergoop runs deep. I’ve tried so many of their sunscreens and I actually just uploaded a post about their Daily Dose sunscreen on my IG feed. The mineral sunscreen is on my list because I’ve only ever used chemical sunscreens. This is because most mineral sunscreens leave a white cast on my skin. And seriously, who wants to walk around looking like a ghost? Not I! However, I’ve seen a couple of people with darker skin use this sunscreen and the cast wasn’t too bad. I’d like to try it out for myself to see how it compares to their other sunscreens.
Herbivore Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil
This face oil is made for those who suffer from oily and acne-prone skin. While I wouldn’t say that my skin is acne-prone, it can get oily and do suffer from hormonal acne. Blue tansy is supposed to help clarify the complexion and has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Also, the product itself is super pretty. Definitely has a lot of shelf-appeal, which may be why I’m drawn to it so much. Nonetheless, this product will probably stay on my wishlist for a while. Mainly because it costs $72 and I can’t bring myself to pay that much for a face oil. Maybe one day I’ll take the plunge though.
Makeup:
The only makeup products on my Sephora spring sale wishlist are from Danessa Myricks Beauty. I was introduced to this brand by a friend and I’ve been wanted them ever since. Her products are so versatile so one thing can be used in many ways. For example, the Colorful Cream Pigment can be used for the eyes, cheeks, or lips. I also want to try her Vision Cream Cover Foundation & Concealer as well as her bronzer. I’ve seen all of the products in action and they look simply amazing.
That pretty much sums up my wishlist items. I’ll be sure to write a follow-up post if I decide to get anything. Remember, don’t try to keep up with everyone else and buy everything just because. Make intentional purposes and spend wisely.
