It’s important that I use products that are effective, have a simple ingredient list, and are breastfeeding safe. Many chemicals can be passed through breastmilk so there are a number of products that should be avoided. It’s my goal to eventually create a list of pregnancy and breastfeeding safe skincare products, but for now, here are 4 of my favorites.

1. Cocokind Rose Water Toner
This toner is so refreshing. Unlike many rose water toners, the scent is so light that you can’t even smell it after it has absorbed into the skin. My favorite way to use it is on clean, damp skin. It’s the perfect way to prepare my face for my hayluronic acid serum (seem product number 2). I also love using it to refresh my skin through the day.
2. The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum
Hyaluronic acid is touted as one of the top skincare products. It helps to keep your skin hydrated, plump, and flexible. If you’re skin is anything like mine, it has become much drier since having my baby. This is one product I never skip in my skincare routine because my skin is visibly hydrated. The thing I love most about this serum is that it is not sticky and absorbs easily into the skin. An added bonus is that all The Inkey List products are affordable!
3. Biossance Squalene Oil
I loved using the Biossance Squalene Oil at night. Night is when our skin has the best opportunity to heal and replenish. I felt like thick creams were way too heavy but using a light moisturizer and then following up with his oil did the trick. You only need a small amount. It doesn’t leave a greasy feeling either, which is always good. The nice thing about this oil is that it can be used for face, body, AND hair! Got to love a multipurpose product.
4. Base Butter Radiant Face Jelly Gel Moisturizer
This product has been a long-time favorite of mine. I was first introduced to Base Butter a few years ago and have been loving it ever since. While I have tried many moisturizers since then, I find myself often coming back to this one. It’s light but extremely moisturizing at the same time. It’s primary ingredient is aloe which is great for skin hydration.
So there you have it, 4 of my favorite pregnancy and breastfeeding safe skincare products!
